Beginning in 1969 with a group of women dedicated to supporting the educational, cultural and civic affairs of the community, the Contemporaries have continuously provided volunteer and financial support to the Azalee Marshall Cultural Activities Center.
The Contemporaries meet monthly, August through May. From artistic performances to chefs offering cooking demonstrations, meetings feature general interest programs and are always fun!
Members receive updates as well as fun news through The Contemporaries newsletter, the Tempo.
Members serve as docents at K-8 Arts-in-Education programs, plan and host Hands On for 3rd and 4th graders, and present the Contemporaries Gala as the primary annual fundraiser for the CAC.
