The Azalee Marshall Cultural Activities Center is a valuable community asset for both individuals and businesses.
The CAC offers numerous opportunities for residents of all ages to enjoy visual and performing arts through a mix of local and nationally touring artists, classes, lectures, children''s activities, exhibits, workshops, and participation in local arts groups aided by the technical support of an arts center. These offerings enhance area quality of life contributing to a more stable population where people believe their community offers cultural enrichment and/or fun things to do.
The range of programs, more commonly found in much larger metropolitan areas, are important to an educated workforce when considering relocation, and to businesses seeking to attract or retain educated employees.
The CAC partners with schools to provide arts opportunities to all students. Brain research demonstrates that arts experiences stimulate creative thinking and creative problem-solving skills, important to the next generation of work force. Business support of arts enrichment programs will contribute to a "sustainable" source of qualified employees for the future.
