Explore your creative side! Founding members Nora Lee Wendland and Raye Virginia Allen envisioned a place where local denizens could create visual and performing arts, and see touring professionals who would give them "something to copy." The year was 1957. Schools were emphasizing science and math as key to our nation’s future. The CAC began as an arts council with the goal of linking cultural arts to education.

Starting with the belief that arts and culture are vital to the future of a vibrant community, the Azalee Marshall Cultural Activities Center was incorporated in 1958. Named for the first President of the CAC, this non-profit Center has grown into a multi-disciplinary facility with five spacious galleries, a performance stage with a 487-seat auditorium, two ballrooms, meeting rooms, and a studio featuring art and ceramics classrooms.

Through professional touring shows, community productions, technical support, gallery exhibits, classes and workshops, beautiful meeting rooms to stage parties and events, summer arts camps and Missoula Children’s Theatre, the CAC makes arts involvement and enjoyment accessible to all area residents. Through the arts, people of all ages, interests, and ethnicity come together in ways that stimulate lifelong learning, and community interaction. Join us!
