WHAT: Month-long exhibition of 5,000+ artworks in all media created by local students
WHY:To showcase & honor student art while exposing children to the experience of exhibiting in a true gallery environment
DOCENT RESPONSIBILITIES: ArtWorks has many opportunities for volunteer docents. Before the Exhibit begins, volunteers are needed to assist with general installation tasks. Volunteers are asked to commit at least two hours, but no more than eight hours to this task between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Volunteers are also needed to lead tours of the exhibit during the duration of the exhibit. Volunteer tour guides are asked to designate days that they can be “on-call” to give tours according to requests for tours from schools, clubs and other groups. Volunteers are generally notified at least one week in advance of a tour and each tour lasts approximately one half hour.

Gallery Openings & Exhibitions
WHO: Event Volunteers Needed
WHAT: Throughout the year, the CAC welcomes volunteer assistance with hosting gallery events. Prior to the gallery opening, volunteer assistance is needed to set out food tables, and keep offerings replenished, to prepare/serve punch, pour wine, and associated kitchen help following the event. We also need assistance acquiring food items from catering businesses, or from individuals who prepare and bring a trays of
hors d’ oeuvres, fruits, cheeses, and like items.
Caterers who donate items may deduct the fair market value of offerings to the extent allowed by law. Business logo/name will be printed on gallery invitation postcards and online.
Volunteer assistance is also needed to hang artwork prior to gallery openings and remove art after exhibitions.
WHEN: If you can donate one or more hours of your time surrounding these activities, we want to hear from you! This is an opportunity to get involved in the community, earn service hours, and support the CAC.
We look forward to meeting you and appreciate your help. For more information please contact marketing@cacARTS.org, or call 254-773-9926 to coordinate.
